Heh. I don't think either is likely, but .net is fairly entrenched and I don't see it going away in my lifetime unless there are massive shakeups overall to the global domain systems.
Gmail is also well-entrenched but Google loves to kill things off. In 15 years I can well imagine a decline in email usage and Google deciding there's a tipping point when it's no longer important (read: profitable) to provide Gmail. Again, I wouldn't bet serious money on this happening, but I can envision it more easily than .net going away.
