Do most musicians who play instruments see AI mainly as an enhancer to their work, rather than something that can create their work from a prompt? I know I do. And that’s a major dividing line: the industry embraced Digital Audio Workstations, but now the craft seems to be heading in a direction that leaves us behind. It’s unfortunate, but I’ll always love playing and recording guitar. No matter what new technologies emerge and dominate the scene, that won’t change.
