In Finland it's an easy tax write-off for individuals. Meaning any books or publications related to your employment reduce your taxable income. I'm not 100% certain how it affects companies, but I'd expect it to work in a similar way (and is effectively cheaper because it gets around the usual 50% income tax deduction).
