I also migrated away from 1Password, mainly because they blogged about how they were going to rewrite their codebase using AI https://1password.com/blog/what-we-learned-using-ai-agents-to-refactor-a-monolith . I understand AI is used at various locations, but using AI to rewrite security critical code where I put my passwords, no thanks.
I migrated to self-hosted BitWarden using https://github.com/dani-garcia/vaultwarden . Beware that BitWarden has also been bought by a company intent on extracting every cent of it, but at least the clients are open source and I can migrate away from them if needed.
